If There Are No Coincidences…

I’ve been knee deep in technology lately and I was feeling a little overwhelmed, so I decided to take a break from Twitter.  Today while I was reading the tweets I missed over the weekend, what do I come across but a link to a resource explaining how to use Google Apps to set up e-portfolios. This week’s Capstone session topic? Formative and summative assessment, with a focus on portfolios. Coincidence?  Of course I immediately added the link to my PBS bookmarks.

Another strange “coincidence”?  Last week when we were looking at ways to meet the needs of diverse learners, Richard Byrne, the author of the blog, Free Technology for Teachers put out a call for special education resources relating to students with autism.  The end result, a wonderful blog with links to useful resources to assist autistic students.  And of course, there was the link to the post about Voki and Trailfire that I commented on earlier.

So, now that the mystery behind Google’s UFO and crop circles banners has been revealed, perhaps they’ll go to work on the strange events that lead my Twitter PLN  to know exactly what I need, because it’s certainly no coincidence.
